As Chief Executive Officer of ValueOptions of Texas, Inc., Eric C. Hunter provides leadership to all facets of the Texas NorthSTAR program management. The Public Sector Division program in Texas is a complex funding and governance model that requires the oversight of very robust, Clinical, Financial and Operational components. The extraordinary nature of the program also requires guiding complex relationships with the Provider community, State and Local Government entities, and Consumer Advocacy groups. Mr. Hunter graduated from the University of Tulsa in Petroleum Engineering and later earned a degree in Business Administration from St. Leo University. He is an affiliate with the American College of HealthCare Executives.

Prior to joining ValueOptions^®, Mr. Hunter served as President and Chief Operating Officer for two Centene Corporation Medicaid Managed Care health plans and as the Chief Executive Officer for Medicaid and Commercial Health Plans with Schaller Anderson, Inc. He served as the Corporate Director of Strategic Planning for Schaller Anderson, Inc. as well. Prior to beginning his nearly twenty years of service at the C-Level in the private sector, Mr. Hunter served as the Director of Boards and Commissions for the Governor of Oklahoma and was the Director of Client Services for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority during the implementation of a Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program.
