Steven Timmons

As the Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Steven Timmons leads and oversees the development, implementation and administration of all of ValueOptions’® human resources activities, including organization and learning development, benefits, compensation, succession planning, employee relations, HRIS, payroll and talent acquisition.

Prior to joining ValueOptions®, Mr. Timmons was most recently the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at TIAA-CREF. His responsibilities included overseeing human resources business partnerships for all client-facing and sales functions. The areas included under his scope of responsibility were asset and risk management, pension products, wealth management, institutional sales, educations savings, mutual funds, relationship management, insurance and call center services, among other business units.

Before joining TIAA-CREF, he was Head of Human Resources for the YMCA of the USA Worldwide Operations. This role focused on the strategic priorities for all international human resources functions. He also worked for Charles Schwab and Company, Inc. for several years, holding multiple leadership roles with a business partnership focus in both their domestic and international retail enterprises. During his time at Charles Schwab, Mr. Timmons was responsible for building a human resources support function to support a nationwide financial branch network of 435 retail branch offices. He also held senior roles at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the world’s largest futures exchange, Sargeant-Welch Scientific Company in Skokie, Ill. and AMF, a global family entertainment provider.

Mr. Timmons holds an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and has an undergraduate degree in marketing and management from DePaul University in Chicago.
